Returning Players
This is Miranda Baldo. She takes this improv thing very seriously. Plus, she's been known to carry this very gun into every practice, and whomever gets no laughs from the audience, is required to play Russian Roulette. Spoiler Alert: Miranda fills her gun instead of emptying it and they usually die. So as you might of guessed everyone on this team is forced to be hilarious. Their life is on the line. As a senior at Mira Costa High School, she's competed in every discus competition, cheerleaded solo at every wrestling match, along with attending every comedy sportz practice presented. Miranda may look like a funny gal, but don't be mistaken by this facade, she's a hard core, muscular, body-builder to be, that is cracking down on the team this year. Good luck children.
Hadley Thomas, seen here standing on a very windy castle in France and pretending to look at something in the corner of her vision in a way that she thinks makes her look pretty, is a Senior at Mira Costa, and this is her fourth year on the Comedy Sportz team. Since her Freshman year, Comedy Sportz has been her favorite part of school. It's a place for her to escape and focus on performing good improv with people who love it as much as her. She is a capricorn, enjoys long walks in the rain, and in depth convorsations about the life and carrer of WWE wrestler John Cena (Did you know that he auditioned for the role of Ron Stoppible in the Disney Channel cartoon 'Kim Possible?' Because Hadley did) Xoxo gossip girl, WAZZUP, where's the beef?
Juliana Rosenfeld is startin' up her senior year at the big MCHS. She considers herself "hands down the funniest person she knows," with exceptions being absolutely no one. However, no one can make her laugh like her squad on the Comedy Sportz team. Juliana is super athletic and loves the sportz side of the team as well. Her favorite sports to play are all of them, and her favorite athlete is Dwayne the Rock Johnson. On the real though, Juliana hopes to continue with improv in college and hopefully have a job where she can continue with it.
Claire Layden is a junior this year and is also a 3rd year returning player on the Comedy Sportz team! Along with walks on the beach, warm baths and candlelight dinners, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, singing, and viewing slam poetry performances..
Duncan Bardeau is a dazzling senior at Costa. He decided to join Comedy Sportz his ripe sophomore year, a young buck. Ever since then, improv has taken over his life in an amazing way. He is excited to work with his fellow teammates for one last year. He has great expectations for this season and is hoping to go out with a sha-bang!
Cole Keefer, seen here channeling his inner John Wayne, is a senior at Mira Costa High School. This is his 2nd year on the time. Outside of Comedy Sportz, Cole is a member of ASB Student Government where he serves as the Student Body Vice-President. Cole is super stoked for his second year on the team and hopes everyone enjoys the matches.
This is Madeleine Huggins, a senior at Mira Costa who's hobbies include acting, singing, cooking, doing gory makeup, and being a ginger. She enjoys jamming, hanging out with friends, and venturing into the great outdoors (with 100 SPF sunscreen on and for a limited number of hours, otherwise her face becomes the color of a feverish lobster). She has been a member of the Comedy Sportz team at Costa since her sophomore year, and loves being a part of the wonderful group of people on the team. She is happy she is able to challenge herself with improv and become a better artist through the experience.
The trick is to not let people know how weird you are until it is too late for them to back out. Don't let me get in your mind cause once I'm there you wont stop thinking about me. My name is Kyle Fiene. I am a member of Comedy Sportz and have been for about 6 months now. I never auditioned for the team I would just show up to all their practices and they finally believed I was on it. There are a lot of benefits to being on the team, for exaple every practie they pay me roughly five dollars above minimum wage to do this cool thing called "leave" where I get to fo home because I exceed their expectations with my improv skillz. No practice needed. No feelings hurt. #kylegetspaid
Rachel Kay is a senior at the great school of Mira Costa. She enjoys having no time to "Netflix and Chill", and instead being involved in the student body government, the drama productions, dance classes, teaching dance classes, and various tutoring lessons for the SAT. Besides the SAT tutoring, one of her very favorite activities is Comedy Sportz. This Activity has been a light in her life for two years, and she plans to continue to making slightly stupid jokes at least one person (herself) will laugh at.
Cara Christian, not to be confused with Cara Jewish, is returning this year for her second year of Comedy Sportz. In her free time, Cara enjoys feeding the elderly, laughing, and creating complex sculptures of Johnny Depp. Her favorite foods include macaroni and cheese, ice cream, and chicken tenders. Comedy Sportz has really helped shape Cara's high school experience in a major way, and she could not be more thankful. She believes that it is one of the best decisions she has ever made and that the people who are part of it, are some of the greatest people ever. She is super excited for this year!
I’m Parker Sublette, I’m a junior at Costa and this will be my second year of comedy sportz, I joined last year because my brother had done it a couple years back and it looked like fun. I’m 16 now and will be turning 17 in November, and even though I’m old enough, I’ve still been too lazy to get myself and license. I spend most of my free time drawing, playing video games, or considering the horrifying socio-economic troubles that America is in due to a capitalist society. I also like baseball.
A Layne is a multicellular crustacean typically found in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. But that's for another time. Hello friends, my name is Layne. Emphasis on the friends. Layne loves all types of friends, and if she is willing to be yours, it's a good day. But that's for another time. If there is something Layne loves more than her friends, it's the junkyard. Layne fills her soul with the joy she encompass from her junkyard treasures. But what Layne loves above all of her friends and junkyard treasures, is Comedy Sportz. That my friends, is not for another time. It's for this time. Let's do this.
Jack Drinker is a sophomore at Mira Costa and is excited to start his second year on the Comedy Sportz team. He has enjoyed more than anything to be able to make such amazing friends and learn so many new things about improv through Comedy Sportz. He also loves being a part of drama and loves to act and sing. He is so stoked for the upcoming year and his goal is to grow in improv!
